Marie Suryan

Suryan, Marie Lena -Age 95 of Swartz Creek, died January 20, 2018. Funeral services will be held 12:00 PM Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Pastor Jim Nelson officiating. Burial in Flint Memorial Park, Mt. Morris. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Tuesday from 4-8 PM and Wednesday from 11:00 AM until the time of the service. Those desiring may make contributions to the Alzheimer's Association. Marie was born in Marion Springs, MI on April 7, 1922 to Henry and Emma (Duensing) Mayer. She was a 1940 graduate of Northern High School. She married John R. Suryan on August 5, 1950 in Flint and he preceded her in death on February 15, 2011. Marie lived in Swartz Creek for the past 16 years coming from Flint. She was a member of United in Christ Lutheran Church where she was active in the Women's Guild. Surviving are children; Brenda Monk of Westland and Kevin (Amy) Suryan of Swartz Creek; five grandchildren, Patrick (Stacie) Monk, Valerie (Jonas) Maironis, Kristin (Jason) Pelky, Kyle Suryan and Danielle Suryan; great grandchildren, Aiden Monk and Weston Pelky; brother, Dewayne Meyer (Janet) of Westerville, OH; and nieces and nephews.
