Marie Canamore

CANAMORE, Marie - Age 94, of Burton, died November 6, 2015. Funeral services will be held 1 PM Wednesday, November 11, 2015 at Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Flint. Burial will follow in Sunset Hills Cemetery. Visitation will be held 6-8 PM Tuesday and 11 AM - 1 PM Wednesday at the funeral home. My beloved mother, Marie was born July 16, 1921 in Gray Ridge, MO the daughter of John and Maggie (Leonard) Shoemaker. At the age of 17 she married Tilden Canamore on August 29, 1938 in Paragould, AR; he preceded her in death on December 5, 1965. Mrs. Canamore retired from General Motors in 1983 and was a member of UAW Local #226. She attended Glad Tidings Tabernacle for many years. Marie had multiple talents including sewing, embroidering and crocheting. Grandma had the best cookies ever from the best cookie jar. Surviving are: children, Bonnie Morales, Linda Quigley; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; seven great great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. The family extends a special thank you to a special young lady, Kris at Lockwwod - Burton, The Medical Team Hospice and lots of love to grandma's best friend, Norma Johnson.
