SMITH, Marian Catherine - age 86, of Fenton, died Monday, November 12, 2018 at Genesys Health Park. Funeral mass will be celebrated 11 AM Friday, November 16, 2018 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 600 N. Adelaide St., Fenton with Rev. Fr. Robert Copeland celebrating. Interment will follow at St. John Cemetery. Visitation will be held 4 PM - 7 PM Thursday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 W. Silver Lake Rd., Fenton where a scripture service will be held at 6:30 PM. Visitation will also be held from 10 AM - 11 AM Friday at the church. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the St. John Educational Foundation. Marian was born September 22, 1932 in Flint, the daughter of James and Ruth (Ellis) Redd. She married Arnold Smith on April 23, 1955 and he preceded her in death on April 24, 2015. Surviving are: three sons, Timothy "Scott" Smith and wife, Robyn of GA, Jeffrey Smith and wife, Anna of TX, David McLaughlin-Smith and wife, Kelly of Fenton; eight grandchildren, Matthew, Melissa, Anthony, Taylor, Christian, Meghan, Patrick and Casey; two great-grandchildren, Brilei and Presslei.
