Marian Porter

PORTER, Marian -- Age 95, of Bancroft passed away Friday, February 1, 2008. Funeral services will be 11 AM, Tuesday, February 5, 2008 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Visitation will be held 2-4 and 6-8 PM, Monday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Sunset Hills Cemetery. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society or the Salvation Army. Marian was born in Detroit, daughter of Bert and Lillian (Mast) Estes. She married Kenneth Porter in December of 1931. Marian enjoyed arts and crafts, gardening, and floral arranging. Surviving are several nieces and nephews including Ann Voorhies and husband Larry of Bancroft, Cindy and Larry Voorhies, Shawn and Phil Perri, Brian and Cheri Estes and special friends Carol Loranger of Goodrich and Roberta Mowl of Burton. She was preceded in death by her husband and 1/2 brothers Bert, Ward, Herb, Elton, and Nate Estes.
