Morene, Marian Elizabeth- Age 93, of Milford, formerly of Novi, passed away December 31, 2022. No services are planned. Arrangements provided by Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton.
Marian was born November 22, 1929 in Saratoga Springs, New York, the daughter of Edward and Jeannette (Tinlin ) Burlingame. She graduated from McKenzie High School in Detroit. She was a long time resident of Milford, Michigan. She worked at the Milford Bakery for many years and was very proud to have been part of their staff. Marian loved Milford; never having a drivers license she walked everywhere. Marian was known for her picture taking and always wearing hats, dressing them up with her many embellishments, mostly colorful flowers. She loved photography and has left her family with many memorable and special photographs.
Marian always kept up with current affairs via the many news medias - she referred to herself as a "News Junkie". She was a great admirer of Abraham Lincoln. Marian was infatuated with Michigan's lovely Mackinac Island.
Marian loved horses, had a huge collection of horse books and horse memorabilia with one of her prize possessions being that of a handwritten letter from the owner, Charles Howard, of Seabiscuit, a United States champion thoroughbred race horse of the 1940s.
She is survived by nieces and nephews, Judith Allen of Grand Blanc, MI, Linda Hebert of Holly, MI, Michael and wife Pat Hebert of Sun City Center, FL, Michael Humm of Spruce, MI, and Richard Humm of Petosky, MI.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Ruth Hebert and Bette Humm; niece, Yvonne (aka Bonnie to Marian) Hebert; and nephews, Richard Hebert and Brian Hebert.
