Marian Elick

ELICK, Mrs. Marian Elizabeth (Brundle) -- Age 102, formerly of Flint, passed away on Tuesday, July 14, 2015 in Milledgeville, GA, her home of the past 7 years. Funeral services will be held at 1PM, on Friday, July 17, 2015 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Rev. Roger Gedcke officiating. Burial will follow at Crestwood Cemetery. Visitation will take place from 12PM until the time of service. Marian was born on May 5, 1913 in Flint, the daughter of Charles and Elsie (Houston) Brundle, the 3rd of 5 children. After graduating from Flint Central High School in 1931, she worked as a comptometer operator for General Motors. She married Mr. Robert L. Elick on December 3, 1938 at Oak Park United Methodist Church where she was a long time member. Together, they had two daughters, Carol Ann and Lois Jean who were born in 1943 and 1947. Robert preceded her in death on December 22, 1968. Marian is survived by her daughters; Carol Babyak (Andrew) and Lois Pylat (John Jr.); her granddaughter Laura (Pylat) Edwards and her husband Martin, 3 great-granddaughters; Evelyn, Eleanora and Georgia Edwards. She was preceded in death by her three sisters, Merodene Veenhuis, Myrtle Wallis, Harriet Armitage, one brother, Robert Brundle, and two sons in law, Andrew Babyak and John Pylat Jr. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com
