Marian J. Case

CASE, Marian J. - age 84, of Swartz Creek, peacefully left her family to be with the Lord, Monday, November 23, 2009 at her residence. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, November 28 at West Flint Church of the Nazarene, 2254 S. Dye Rd., Flint with Dr. David Bowser officiating. Interment will follow at Bendle Cemetery. Visitation will be held 3-8 PM Friday at the Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek, and 10 AM until the time of service Saturday at the church. Mrs. Case was born May 21, 1925 in Flint, the daughter of Edward and Jennie (Carey) Durance. She married B. Dale Case on February 12, 1944 in Flint. Mrs. Case was an active member of West Flint Church of the Nazarene. She enjoyed singing, sewing, quilting and was an avid reader. She loved her family and enjoyed being with them. Surviving are: husband, B. Dale Case of Swartz Creek; five children, Ronald Case and wife, Patricia of Swartz Creek, Thomas Case and wife, Berta of Flint, Cathy and husband, Roger Baker of Gaines, William Case and wife, Laurette of Swartz Creek, Bonnie and husband, David Schwenk of IN; 10 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; one great great-grandchild; brother, Donald Durance and wife Beverly of Davison. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Carolyn Dolin and sister, Emma Lou Miller. The family extends a very special thank you to McLaren Visiting Nurse and Hospice.
