PERRY, MariaEstela - age 65, of Durand, died March 30, 2021. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:30 AM Tuesday, April 6, 2021 at St. Mary Catholic Church, 700 Columbia Dr, Durand, MI 48429 with Fr. Bill Wegher celebrant. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Mt. Morris. Visitation will be held 2-5 and 6-9 PM Monday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek, MI 48473 where a rosary will be prayed at 7 PM Monday evening. Visitation will also be held from 9:30 AM - 10:30 AM Tuesday at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to MariaEstela Perry Scholarship Fund at The Foundation for Mott Community College. She was born July 13, 1955 in Flint, the daughter of Ramon and Maria (Rodriguez) Gonzales, Sr.. MariaEstela married Al Perry on May 24, 1985 and she retired from General Motors. MariaEstela was seen as the matriarch of not only her family but an extended family as well. She was an extremely loving and generous person who dedicated her life to serving others. The only time she spent on herself was the finishing touches on her always perfect hair and makeup. She loved spending time with family and enjoyed cooking, baking and sewing. Surviving are: husband of 35 years, Al Perry of Durand; four sons, Travis (Ali) Perry of Flushing, Todd (Kristen) Perry of Brighton, Al (Samantha) Perry, Jr. of Grand Blanc; and Alex (Morgan) Perry of Durand; seven grandchildren, Owen, Max, Charlotte, Mabel, Josephine, Margaux, and Will; five siblings, RoseMary (Randy) Murray of Flushing, Ramon (Nanette) Gonzalez, Jr. of Burton, Anna Gibson of Flint, Gloria Worsham (Louie Harrod) of Grand Blanc, and Lisa (Marc) Gronauer of Davison; many nieces, nephews, and Godchildren. She was preceded in death by: her father, Ramon Gonzales, Sr. and her grandmother, Marianna Ascencio. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
