SCHINDLER, Maria  Age 81, of Flushing, died Friday, July 4, 2003 at Fostrain Manor. A celebration of life service will be held 6 PM Monday, June 7, 2003 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek with Fr. Steven F. Makranyi officiating. Mrs. Schindler was born January 24, 1922 in Poland, the daughter of Joseph and Anna (Bednarz) Pula. She married Stanley V. Schindler on February 2, 1948 in Germany and he preceded he in death on November 7, 1978. Mrs. Schindler had a Masters Degree from the University of Michigan and was a Biology and Botany Professor at the University of Michigan  Flint. She was a member of St. Robert Catholic Church in Flushing and St. Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church in Swartz Creek. Surviving are: son, Christopher A. and wife, Barbara Schindler of Swartz Creek; daughter, Bozenna V. Schindler of Flushing; three grandchildren, Nikki Schindler, Aron Schindler and Renita Schindler.
