Maria Garza

GARZA, Maria Louisa - age 73, of Flint Twp., died March 8, 2022. Private services will be held. Maria was born July 24, 1948 in Kenedy, Texas, the daughter of Celso and Eloise (Acosta) Alvear, she was one of 18 children. Maria retired from General Motors in 2009. She was a devoted member of the Western Hills Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses and a loving mother and grandmother. Surviving are: three children, Steven Garza, Amanda (Michael) Vance, and Alexandria Garza; two daughters-in-law, Cristina and Criselda; 14 grandchildren, Isaiah, Stephanie, Steven, Francisco, Lilly, Christiano, Ava, Brynn, Avarie, Madden, Jordan, Brandon, Gabriella, and Elaina; two great-grandchildren, Evelyn and Dani; siblings, Siolo, Luis, Eloisa, Mary-Ann, Elvira, Alicia, Lydia and Susie; and special niece, Norma;. She was preceded in death by: her parents; son, Eric Garza; and siblings, Trina, Loranzo, Celso, Miguel, George, Alberto, David, Maria-Elena, and Diane.
