Margureat Martin

MARTIN, Margureat (Cool) - Age 88, of Byron, passed away January 15, 2024. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Saturday, January 20, 2024 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Linden Chapel, 209 E. Broad St., Linden. Visitation will be held from 5-8 PM Friday. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to Byron Community Schools Scholarship Fund. Margureat was born May 15, 1935 in Flint, the daughter of William Theodore and Hazel Mae (Cooper) Nelson. She was a 1954 graduate of Byron High School. She worked for Byron Community Schools for over 20 years, retiring in 1995. Margureat loved wildlife, music and dancing. She is survived by her children, Terri (Duane) Forsyth, Carol (Christine Clissold) Cool, Dawn (Paul Brandt) Cool and Janine Cool; seven grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband, E. David Cool on July 26, 1989; second husband, Harold "Marty" Martin on March 26, 2001; a sister and two brothers.
