Marguerite Mugridge

MUGRIDGE, Marguerite M. (Fraley) - Age 86, of Burton, passed away at home the morning of Friday, August 14, 2020. A private Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, Burton. Burial will take place at Crestwood Cemetery. Arrangements provided by Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Grand Blanc.

Marguerite was born May 29, 1934 in Columbus, MI at her family's home on Meskill Rd., to Neil and Evelyn (Seifert) Fraley. She was the fourth of 14 children. She graduated from Memphis High School in 1952 and worked several jobs including the Chrysler Co. and Atherton Schools.

On September 3, 1960 she married Gerald (Jerry) Mugridge in Lakeport, MI, at St. Edwards on the Lake Catholic Church. They moved to Burton in 1963, where they raised their four children. Jerry preceded her in death January 2016.

Marguerite loved taking care of her family, especially her grand children. For many years, she enjoyed playing bingo and going to the casinos, including regular trips with family to Brimley. She also enjoyed yearly camping trips with a large group of family and friends, especially Port Crescent State Park. She was an avid golf fan and Scrabble player.

Marguerite leaves behind her 4 children; Lori of New Lothrop, Julie (Don) Brown of Burton, Mark of Cherryville, NC and Kim (Lou) Kusalik of Davison; grandchildren; Lauren Graham and fiancée Megan, Brooke Graham, Lydia and Sarah Mugridge, Steven and Amanda Kusalik; sisters, Phyllis Schweiger, Melanie Priehs and Cheryl (Jim) Russell; brothers, Frank (Mary Ann), Gaius (Loretta), Dennis (Joanne), Richard (Mary Lou), Alan and Steve (June); brothers-in law, Alan (Betty) and Ron (Marge); and a multitude of loving nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband , parents, 4 brothers, 3 brothers-in-law and a sister-in-law.
