Marguerita Cathryn 'Rita' BURNELL

BURNELL, Marguerita Cathryn, "Rita", age 80, of Grand Blanc, passed away Tuesday, January 26, 2010 at The Pines of Lake Fenton. Private Services will be held at a later date. Rita was born April 26, 1929 in Flint the daughter of the late Christopher and Annie (McCullough) Lumley. She married S. Warren Burnell on March 3, 1951 in Flint and he preceded her in death on June 21, 1993. Rita had been a resident of Grand Blanc since 1963 and had volunteered at Crestmont Nursing Home. Surviving are her son, Jeffrey Burnell (Mary) of Grand Blanc; daughter, Chris D'Anne Kish (Robert) of Raleigh, NC; 2 grandchildren, Joni and Jeffrey Burnell; 2 great-grandchildren, Chase and Brenden Burnell; brother, Dennis Lumley (Bernice) of Swartz Creek. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Judith Ann Burnell in 1977.
