Margaret Zion

ZION, Margaret Ann- of Fenton, formerly White Lake, age 83, passed over peacefully on Sunday, March 6, 2016. Margaret was born in Detroit to the late Barton & Anna Tucker on October 2, 1932. Margaret married the late Amos Armen Zion and together they had 9 children and spent 43 years together. Margaret was preceded in death by sisters: Mable, Betty, Lillian and Doris; brothers: Harold, Barton and Herman; and children: Brian, Gary, Daniel and Gregory. Margaret is survived by: children, Linda DeMattis of Shelby Township, Darrell Zion of Redford, Anna (Robert) Poppe of Howell, Mae Zion (Roz Leeck) of Fenton, and Kimberly Deehl of Fenton; 15 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Throughout Maggie's life she enjoyed gatherings at the family home on White Lake. Her love for all and devotion was a part of every meal she made. She opened her home for all to enjoy sunsets and bonfires. Maggie later resided in Fenton where she enjoyed friendships with her neighbors, daily walks, and feeding and watching the birds. A celebration of life will be held 11 AM Thursday, March 10, 2016 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton. Burial to follow at United Memorial Gardens in Superior Township.Visitation will be held at the funeral home Wednesday from 11:00 AM - 9:00 PM and Thursday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service.
