Margaret Mary Shields

Shields, Margaret Mary - Age 81, of Fenton, died July 3, 2024 at her daughter's home. 

Mass will be celebrated 11 AM Tuesday July 16, 2024 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 600 N. Adelaide Street, Fenton, Fr. Robert Copeland celebrant. Visitation from 10 AM until the time of the Mass at 11 AM at the church on Tuesday July 16. Private interment will be held later at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Saginaw. Arrangements are being handled by Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton. 

Margaret was born January 10, 1943 in Saginaw, Michigan, the daughter of Floyd and June (Lemmer) Remer. Margaret was an avid gardener and loved her flowers. She loved her cats. She deeply loved her friends. She was the best grandma she could be. 

Surviving are: daughter Monica (David) Hewitt; grandchildren, Ryan Shields, Taylor Shields, Hayden Hewitt, Avery Hewitt,, Hogan Hewitt, Carson Hewitt; sister Veronica (Eugene) Belanger; nieces, Kris Dougherty, Julie Voiles, and Melissa Langnes; and Margaret's loving cat Stella.
