Margaret Lewis

LEWIS, Margaret (Hoover) - died Sunday January 28, 2018. Margaret was born July 31, 1935 in Shawnee, OK and grew up in Seminole, OK. She graduated from the University of Oklahoma. Margaret taught deaf children in Oklahoma City, Port Huron Michigan, and at the Michigan School for the Deaf in Flint. As a teacher of the deaf, she was a passionate advocate and loving guide to hundreds of children. Margaret is survived by her daughter Melissa (home), Jon (Dana), granddaughters Madisen, Emma, Olivia, and grandson Jon III, brother Harry (Janet) Hoover of Oklahoma City, brother in law Don Chesser of Seminole, OK, sisters in law Mary Lewis and Linda (Guy) Moxam, nieces Dawn (Danny) Eaves and Susan (John) Hyde, and many special nieces and nephews. Margaret was preceded in death by her husband Jon, mother and father Loraine and Harry Hoover, sister Pat Chesser, parents in law Bill and Maxine Lewis, sister and brother in law Mary Jean and Bill Borowski, and brother in law Bill Lewis. Cremation has taken place and in the summer, family gravesite rites will be at Memorial Gardens Cemetery with her husband Jon.
