HILL, Margaret Louise  of Swartz Creek, died Friday, July 30, 2004 at McLaren Hospice Center due to complications of a stroke. Services will be held 11 AM Tuesday, August 3, 2004 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel with Rev. J.D. Landis officiating. Interment will be held at Masonic Cemetery, Tipton, IA. Visitation will be held from 1-4 and 6-9 PM Monday at the funeral home. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to Swartz Creek United Methodist Church Building Fund. Ms. Hill was born in Tipton, IA, the daughter of Floyd C. and Winnie (Eisaman) Hill. She was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force serving as a first lieutenant. She received a Bachelor of Arts from Central Michigan University and a Masters of Education and Administration from University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. Ms. Hill was a speech therapist in the Cadillac, Grosse Pointe, and Genesee Intermediate School Districts. She was a school psychologist and the Director of Special Education at Grand Blanc Intermediate Schools retiring in 1979. Ms. Hill then was a private consultant and Compliance Monitor at Lapeer Intermediate Schools. She was a member of Swartz Creek United Methodist Church where she served on many boards and committees, a member of the Michigan Educational Association, National Education Association and a life member of the Cadillac American Legion Post #94. Surviving are: nephew, Dennis Hill (Charlene Daisy) of Tipton, IA; niece, Mary Jane Ruud of Moline, IL; two great-nieces, Tamara (Doug) Meixner of Tipton, IA, Diana Hubbard of Des Moines, IA; four great-nephews, David (Trina) Hill of Tipton, IA, Steven (Mary Lee) Hill of Carroll, IA, Eric (Kelly) Ruud, Ryan Ruud, all of Moline, IL; eight great-great nieces and nephews; two cousins; special friends, Wanda Tyler and Lola Staehli; dear friends, Marilyn and Ralph Carle, Pauline and Bruce Stephens; many other friends. She was preceded in death by: her parents; two brothers, H. Clare Hill and Gale Hill; two nephews, Floyd Hill and James Hill. The family extends a special thank you to McLaren Hospice and to all who sent cards and prayers. Margaret touched the lives of many people. To know her was a special gift.
