Margaret Mae BURWELL

BURWELL, Margaret Mae, age 89, of Flint, passed away Thursday, January 6, 2011 at Maple Woods Manor, Clio. Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 10, 2011 at Court Street United Methodist Church, 225 W. Court St., Flint. Rev. Robert Wright officiating. Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. Monday until time of service at church. Interment in Sunset Hills Cemetery. Visitation will be 2:00-8:00p.m. Saturday and 1:00-4:00p.m. and 6:00-8:00p.m. Sunday at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Grand Blanc Twp. Memorial contributions may be made to Court Street United Methodist Church or a charity of one's choice. Mrs. Burwell was born May 1, 1921 in Wamego, Kansas. She married Clare E. Burwell on September 5, 1943 in Wamego, Kansas and he preceded her in death on May 16, 1981. Mrs. Burwell was employed by Professional Dental Supply Co. as a bookkeeper for 19 1/2 years until her retirement in 1978. She was a member of Court Street United Methodist Church, Eastern Star in Wamego, Kansas, volunteered at McLaren Hospital Auxiliary in the surgical lounge and was the gift shop treasurer. In addition, she volunteered at American Red Cross Blood Drives, R.S.V.P., Crossover of Flint and Friends of WFBE Radio. Surviving are her 2 daughters, Barbara Ann Evans (Tom) of Grand Blanc, Nancy J. Miller (David) of Clarksville, OH; 5 grandchildren, Jon Evans (Brenda) of Grand Blanc, Jeffrey Evans of Phoenix, AZ, James Evans of Grand Blanc, Kimberly O'Connor (Sean) of Conover, OH, Rebecca MaGrath (Gavin) of Clearwater, FL; 9 great-grandchildren.
