Margaret Mary BONDY

BONDY, Margaret Mary - age 86, of Grand Blanc, died Thursday, January 31, 2013 at her residence. Funeral mass will be celebrated 11 AM Monday, February 4, 2013 at Holy Family Catholic Church, 11804 S. Saginaw St., Grand Blanc. Interment of cremated remains will follow at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly. Following the burial, Margaret requested everyone to celebrate her life at a luncheon in the Fr. Bush Hall, at Holy Family Parish. The family will receive friends from 4-8 PM Sunday at Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Flint where a rosary will be prayed at 7 PM. Mrs. Bondy was born October 26, 1926 in Detroit, the daughter of William and Margaret (Funk) Gendron. She married Casper Bondy on July 9, 1949. Mrs. Bondy was a good friend and neighbor. She was a loving wife and mother. Mrs. Bondy volunteered for over 17 years at Genesys Health Park and St. Joseph Hospital. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church and also volunteered for the soup kitchens and March of Dimes. Margaret was an avid poker player for many years. Surviving are: husband, Casper Bondy of Grand Blanc; nine children, Mark (Carol), James (Kathy), Ernest (Janet), Mary (Bob) Garrard, William, Donna (David) Johnson, Catherine (Jeff) Ruff, Theresa (Gary) Chazick, Ann (Paul) Myers; 20 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren also survive.
