WEIGLE, Marcia Jean - age 80, of Fenton, passed away peacefully into God's loving embrace on Saturday, December 21, 2024 at her home at Symphony of Linden basking in the glow of her loving family. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Saturday, December 28, 2024 at Fenton United Methodist Church, 119 S. Leroy St., Fenton, MI 48430 with Pastor Jeff Jaggers officiating. Visitation will be held from 4-8 PM Friday, December 27, 2024 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 W. Silver Lake Rd., Fenton, MI 48430. Visitation will also be held from 10 AM - 11 AM Saturday at the church. Marcia was born April 27, 1944 to Edith and Roy MacMorran in Highland Park, Michigan. She graduated from Livonia Bentley High School Class of 1962. Marcia also briefly attended Western Michigan University before beginning her job at Singer. Marcia married Kenneth Weigle on March 13, 1965 and moved to Big Rapids, Michigan. Over the course of her amazing life she was an avid book reader, world traveler, and bird watcher. Her home cooked meals were always enjoyed and appreciated. Her scratch made chocolate chip cookies were considered a local legend by both family and friends alike! She was also an active member of Marriage Encounter, the Fenton Area Treasure Hunt, and the Jaycees. Marcia's faith in God was also very important to her. She was active in the chancel choir, hand bell choir and the Pairs and Spairs social group at Fenton United Methodist Church. Music was a very influential part of her life in many forms. Her closest personal friends brought her much joy over her life. Reading books, taking walks, knitting or crochet, and doting on her grandchildren were her favorite pastimes. Marcia is survived by her 3 sons, Bryan of Grand Blanc, Jason (Amy) of Fenton, and Cory of Linden. Sister Janice Gray of Franklin, Tennessee, and brother Kenneth (Sharon) MacMorran of Austin, Texas. Grandchildren Gabriel (Lauren) Weigle, Anna Weigle, and Benjamin Weigle. She was preceded in death by her husband of 35 years, Kenneth, her mother Edith (nee Chubb) and father Roy MacMorran.
