Marcella E. Unitis

UNITIS, Marcella E. - Age 91, formerly of Detroit and Redford, now of Gladwin, died Sunday May 10, 2009 in Flint. Mrs. Unitis was retired from the Lincoln Park Sears Roebuck store after 20 years of service. She loved to dance, was a great tennis player and once bowled a "300" game. She was the loving wife of Michael L. Unitis who preceded her in death on March 9, 2009. Surviving are her three daughters, Kathleen A. Martz (Thomas Mlynarski), Jacqueline K. Unitis and Denise M. Kleiner (Norman). Also surviving is her grandson, Michael J. Martz. She was also preceded in death by her parents and 11 brothers and sisters. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, May 13, 2009 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, 1227 E. Bristol Rd., Burton, MI. followed by Committal prayers and burial in St. Hedwig Cemetery in Dearborn Heights, MI at 1:30 P.M. Visitation will be Tuesday from 1:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Grand Blanc Twp., where the Rosary will be prayed at 7:00 P.M. Mrs. Unitis will lie in state at the church Wednesday from 10:00 A.M. to service time. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the Council on Aging for Gladwin County, 215 S.
