Marcella Fravel

FRAVEL, Marcella Catherine - Age 97, of Grand Rapids formerly of Fenton, died Thursday, September 25, 2008 in Grand Rapids. Funeral Mass was celebrated 9:00 AM today at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Fenton. Fr. David Harvey celebrant. Burial in St. John Catholic Cemetery. Marcella was born June 1, 1911 in New Cordyon, IN, the daughter of Joseph and Margaret (Laughlin) Robin. She married James Lester Fravel in 1938 and he preceded her in death March 7, 1972. She was a graduate of Ball State University and taught elementary school for 15 years. Marcella was a member of St John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Altar Society and the Fenton Senior Citizens. Surviving are: son, Michael and wife Linda Fravel of Gowen; daughter, Mary Beth Fravel of Clio; 4 grandchildren, Scott and wife Suzanne Fravel of Olathe, KS, Patrick and wife Erin Fravel of Chicago, IL, Lisa and husband Mike Murray of Howell, Bradley Fravel of East Lansing; 7 great grandchildren, Scott's children, Kate, Kristin and Emily, Pat's children, Delaney and Kiera, Lisa's children, Patrick and Nicholas; several nieces and nephews.
