BEAL, Majel - passed away peacefully in the early morning of March 5, 2019 in Tucson, AZ, where she lived since 1980. Majel was born to Glenn and Sarah Blanchard shortly after they moved to Swartz Creek. It was there her family opened a blacksmith shop. Majel graduated from Mary Crapo High School. She was employed at different businesses throughout the years, and most importantly at a small town grocery store where she met her future husband Bert Beal. In Flint, she worked for Singer Sewing Machine Company for several years. Bert and Majel lived in Flint, with their daughter Janis until retirement. They moved to Tucson in 1980. Majel and Bert were married almost 60 years when he passed away. Their beautiful daughter Janis Beal Bielicki joined her father Bert in June of 2009. Also deceased is Majel's first husband 2nd Lieutenant John W. Clarke killed on a training flight, sisters; Oralee Johnson, Rhea Ione Passmore, Donna Belle Small, brothers; Francis Blanchard, Phyllis Ernest and Basil Blanchard. Majel leaves behind her Granddaughter Jennifer Bielicki Jopson (Bryon Jopson) and Great Grandson Brandon Jopson of Rochester, NY; Donald Bielicki (son in law) from Lockport NY; and many nieces, nephews and close friends. Majel was a faithful member and on many committees & circles at Asbury United Methodist Church in Flint Michigan. After moving to Arizona, she was a faithful member of Hope United Methodist and most recently St. Johns United Methodist Church. Celebration of life service will be held 11 AM Monday, March 11, 2019 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, our temporary location at Hill Creek Church, 5363 Hill Rd., Swartz Creek. Visitation will be held from 10 AM until the time time of service. Burial will follow at Sunset Hills Cemetery.
