Mae Elizabeth WHITEHEAD

WHITEHEAD, Mae Elizabeth - Age 56, of Lennon, passed away Tuesday, February 17, 2009 at her residence. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Monday, February 23, 2009 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Burial in Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Saturday from 5-9 PM and Sunday from 1-4 and 6-9 PM. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to the Mae E. Whitehead Memorial Fund. Mae was born December 7, 1952 in Flint, the daughter of Elmer, Sr. and Kathryn (Ellis) McAfee. She married Lloyd L. "Butch" Whitehead July 5, 1991 in Flint. She had resided in Lennon for the past 8 years coming from Flint. Mae loved spending time with her family, baking, flowers and her dog Lucy. Her treasure was her family and she will be forever missed by those who loved her. Surviving are: husband, Lloyd "Butch" Whitehead; 2 stepsons, Ronnie and Mike Whitehead; 3 step grandchildren, Chelsea, Trevor and Hunter; mother, Kathryn McAfee of Flint; 6 sisters, Donna (Gene) Compton, Brenda Hawkins, Sandy McAfee, Doris (Ed) O'Dell, Melinda (Kevin) Baker, Laurie (Jon) Cram; brother, Elmer, Jr. (Vickie) McAfee; sisters-in-law, Sharon Ann (Ben) Blair and Violet (Ron) VanHorn; several nieces and nephews.
