Mae Jimenez

JIMENEZ, Mae (Mechura) - Age 69, of Swartz Creek, died Saturday, December 17, 2016. A funeral mass will be celebrated 10AM Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at St. Mary's Church, 2500 N. Franklin Ave., Flint. Father Zachery Maybee celebrant. Those desiring may make contributions to the family. Arrangements provided by Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Road, Flint. Mae was born on August 28, 1947 in Flint the daughter of Juan and Carlotta (Soto) Martinez. She married Jose "Joe" Jimenez Jr. on October 13, 2003 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Mae loved spending time with her grandchildren, enjoyed gardening, flowers, going to garage sales, watching movies and listening to Elvis music. Mrs. Jimenez was a self employed home health care nurse in the Flint area for many years. Surviving are: husband, Joe of Swartz Creek; children, Renee Mechura , Ronald "Bully" Mechura, Maria Mechura all of Flint; good family friend, Richard Sanchez; grandchildren, Danielle (Jerry) Alcala of Fenton, Maria Molina of Flint, Brandi Hauxwell of Clio; great grandchildren, Lucas and Emilia Alcala both of Fenton. She is also survived by her mother, Carlotta Powell; brothers, Mel (Margie) Martinez of Flint, Johnny (Virginia) Martinez of Flushing, Henry (Joanie) Martinez of FL and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father Juan Martinez and first husband Ronald Ray Mechura on October 30, 1987 and brothers Tony and David Martinez and sister, Erminia Groves.
