COOPER, Madeline Margaret - Age 81, of Linden, died Tuesday, October 27, 2003 at Fostrian Manor, Flushing. Funeral services will be held 3PM Thursday, October 30, 2003 at Sharp Funeral Homes; Linden Chapel, 209 E. Broad St., Linden, Pastor Steven Leinbach officiating. Interment in Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 4-9 PM Wednesday. Those desiring may make contributions to the American Cancer Society. Mrs. Cooper was born October 23, 1922 in Saginaw, the daughter of Arthur A. and Marquerite (McAnany) Thompson. She married George M. Cooper, Jr. September 24, 1947 in Saginaw, he preceded in death December 14, 1992. She had lived in Linden since 1986, coming from Reese, Davison and Flint. Surviving are: 3 children, Dennis Cooper of Swartz Creek, David and wife Lucy Cooper of Vernon, Karen and husband Gary Kautz of Burton; 5 grandchildren, Philip Kautz, Erin Cooper, William Kautz, Emily Kautz, Christine Cooper; many nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her parents; 2 brothers, William and Nolan; sister, Nancy; and daughter-in-law, Paula. The family extends a special thanks to Dr.Carol Wyse; the staff at Fostrian Manor; and the staff of Hartland Hospice including Sandy, Mary, and Barbara.
