Madeline Bright

BRIGHT, Madeline Florence - age 95, of Flint Township, died March 22, 2021. A private interment service has taken place at Great Lakes National Cemetery and a memorial service will be held at a later date. Madeline was born September 28, 1925 in Flint, the daughter of Thomas Rodney and Myrtle May (Leukfehr) Polsgrove. She was a 1943 graduate of Flint Central High School. She married Vaughn D. Bright on May 10, 1947 and he preceded her in death on March 19, 2005. Madeline worked at Swartz Creek Schools in the cafeteria and was a Boy Scout Leader. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Flint, enjoyed working on class reunions and Swartz Creek public elections and school elections. Surviving are: three sons, Barry (Sally) Bright of Linden, Craig (Karin) Bright of Swartz Creek, Scott (Mary Kay) Bright of Swartz Creek; grandchildren, Neil (Jennifer) Bright, Jessica Bright, Andrea (Ryan) Bright-Fontana, Steven (Rebecca) Bright, Matthew (Emily) Bright, and Michael (Kayla) Bright; great-grandchildren, Sara, Colin, Ethan, Jessica, Lucas, Meisha, Ryder, Savannah, Jaden, Sadie, Gavin, Ainsley, and Lucy; siblings, Carol Nelson and Ronald Polsgrove. She was preceded in death by: her husband, brothers, Linzel and Ray; sisters, Lucille Meadows, Maxine Carter, Joan Woodard, Velma Dodge, and Rachel Swatzell; infant, Shirley Ann; infant grandson, Craig Bright, Jr. Arrangements by Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek, MI 48473.
