Lynn Glassford

Glassford, Lynn Charles - Age 92 of Clio, died November 21, 2017. A family memorial service will be held at a later date. Those desiring may make contributions to SS.Charles & Helena Catholic Church in Clio. Mr. Glassford was born on October 24, 1925 in Kingston, Michigan the son of Herbert and Lula (Sanford) Glassford. He was a Veteran of the US Navy serving during WWII on the SS Sea Snipe. He Married his beloved wife, Alma Therese Bourassa on September 13, 1947 in Flint and she preceded him in death on July 1, 2015. Mr. Glassford retired from Buick Powerhouse in 1980. He enjoyed playing the banjo, making rosaries, wood carving, whittling, crafts and playing golf while wintering in Florida. Surviving are his daughters, Marilyn (Joe) Susinko, Jeannine (Don) Whitener, Dolores (John) Goddard, Pamela (Dennis) Burch; several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; sister-in-law, Dee Dee Thorpe; brother-in-law, Nick Hoffman. In addition to his beloved wife, Alma, he was also preceded in death by their infants, Lynn Charles, Gerard Lynn, Mary Therese and Mary Jo; brother, Jim Glassford; sister, Jean Hoffman and sister-in-law, Elaine Glassford.
