NOVAR, Lynda Ann - Age 81, of Fenton, passed away Wednesday, February 14, 2024. A memorial service will be held 4:00 p.m. Saturday March 2, 2024 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton. Pastor Robbie Carnes officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Saturday, March 2, from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the service. Those desiring may make contributions to the American Cancer Society.
Lynda was born February 26, 1942 in Flint, the daughter of Francis R. and Annabel M. (Pierce) Wolcott. She was a 1960 graduate of Flint Central High School. She married Thomas James Novar December 2nd 1960 in Flint.
She was a longtime resident of the Flint area and was raised on the family apple farm, (Wolcott and Son’s Orchards in Mount Morris). Living on, and working at the Apple Orchard and Cider Mill, along with being surrounded by her family was one of Lynda’s great loves. Lynda was an intensely devoted, loving and loyal Mother who always put her kids first.
She was a longtime member of First Presbyterian Church of Flint.
Surviving are: her husband, Thomas; children, Dan (Ann Marie) Novar of Bloomingdale, IL, Francie Lynn Novar of Ann Arbor, and Michael (Tracie) Novar of Ann Arbor; grandchildren, Cameron Novar, Lauren Rose Novar, Brendan Novar and Ian Novar; brother, Robert Wolcott of Boyne City; sister, Francie Allen of Fenton; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Annabel and Frank Wolcott; brother-in-law, Thomas Allen; and sister-in-law, Sheryl Wolcott. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
