IRISH, Lyle Roger - Age 76, of Fenton formerly of Gilby, ND/Flint, died Wednesday, December 14, 2016. Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton. Burial in Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Tuesday from 11:00 AM until the time of the service. Lyle was born September 5, 1940 in Flint, the son of Lorenzo and Leatha (Douglas) Irish. He was a Vietnam veteran serving in the U.S. Army. He married Jacqueline Hodges May 12, 1970 in Chicago, IL. Lyle retired from Buick City and had been employed for many years at Fisher Body I. He was a member of the Leo R. Crow V.F.W. Post #8236 and the U.A.W. Local #599. Surviving are: his wife, Jacqueline; children, Tim (Bethany) Dawes of Fenton, Steven (Shane) Dawes of Swartz Creek, Blair (Vicki) Dawes of North Dakota, Jason (Cindy) Dawes of Saranac, and Darin Dawes of Hasting; adopted daughter, Su Jenson of Belleville, IL; 12 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren; 6 sisters and 2 brothers; and several nieces and nephews.
