Lydia Harris

HARRIS, Lydia Helga Luise - age 75 of Fenton, died Monday, July 14, 2014. A memorial gathering will be held 4 - 8 PM Saturday, July 19, 2014 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton. Those desiring may make contributions to the Alzheimer's Association. Lydia was born January 22, 1939 in Stolp, Germany, the daughter of Alois and Margarete (Schilling) Buchmann. She was an avid gardener who loved nothing more than to spend her days immersed in nature. She was the devoted wife of the late Robert Lee Harris. Lydia was the loving mother and dearest friend of two daughters, Sharon (Dana Piper) Harris and Michelle (Christian) Nassif; loving grandmother of Anthony and Hunter Nassif. She is also survived by her sisters-in-law, Olive Harris and Heidi Froemming; loyal and dear friends, Lilo Kunz, Lotte Meier and Herta Stoeger. She was preceded in death by her brother, Dieter Froemming; brothers-in-law, Kenneth Harris, Harry Harris, George Harris, and Tom Gannaway; sisters-in-law Jean Harris, Marian Harris, and Shirley Gannaway.
