September 7, 1931 — June 24, 2005

MARSHALL, Luther Ray Age 73, of Flint, died Friday, June 24, 2005 at McLaren Regional Medical Center. Funeral Services will be held 11 AM Tuesday, June 28, 2005 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Interment will follow in Crestwood Memorial Cemetery, Grand Blanc where veterans honors will be performed under the auspices of the 40 et 8. Visitation will be held 4-7 PM Sunday and 3-5 and 6-9 PM Monday at the funeral home.Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the Parkinsons Foundation. Mr. Marshall was born September 7, 1931 in Mobile, Alabama, the son of Luther R. and Sarah J. (McRee) Marshall. He was a veteran of the US. Army serving as a Sergeant. He was a resident of the Flint and Gaines area since 1951 and retired from General Motors in 1994 after many years as a Tool and Dye maker. He was a member of the Swartz Creek American Legion Post 294 and a member of the Masonic Lodge. Mr. Marshall is survived by: son, Luther Marshall and wife Linda of Gaines: daughter, Icel Kelly and husband Kevin of Phillipsburg, NJ; 5 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; siblings, Dolores Rossko of Flint, Tom Marshall and wife Diane of Hollywood, FL, Sandra Capps and husband Carly of Theodore, Alabama, Regina Tsririkas and husband Terry of Greece, Glendene Smith and husband Joe of Semms, Alabama, Patricia Johnson and husband Raymond of Pensacola, FL, Jeanette Peak of Florida, Gene Lott of Mobile, Alabama. Mr. Marshall was preceded in death by:  his parents; daughters, Marie Sargent and Judianne Marshall.
