Lula Jansen

Jansen, Lula Mae - Age 99, of Roscommon, formerly of Linden, died January 13, 2020. Funeral services will be held 2 PM Thursday, January 16 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Linden Chapel 209 E. Broad St., Linden. Pastor Dawn Russell officiating. Visitation will be held 10 AM until the time of the service Thursday. Those desiring may make contributions to Heartland Hospice. Lula was born July 8, 1920 in Cadillac the daughter of Warren and Elizabeth (Helmboldt) Fewless. She was married to John Jansen in 1941 in Cadillac; he preceded her in death in 1975. She loved having company to her home and cooking for them. She was a great cook and baker. Surviving are: three daughters Beverly (Jerry) Murphy of Linden, Lorraine "Kay" Redmond of Grand Blanc, Gloria (Charles) Dobbs of Roscommon; son-in-law, Van Newcom of Florida; fourteen grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; many great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son James Fewless; daughter Sharon Newcom; granddaughter Christine; two sisters, Agnes and Elizabeth; brother Robert; and longtime companion Frank Michalek.
