Luke Richard Elfstrom

February 11, 1997 — March 21, 2025

Luke Richard Elfstrom, age 28, of Fenton, passed away on Friday, March 21, 2025. A memorial service will be held at 3:30 pm on Saturday, March 29, 2025, at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton. Visitation will take place at the funeral home on Saturday, March 29, 2025, from 1:30 pm until the time of service.

Born in Flint on February 11, 1997, Luke was the son of Jamie Elfstrom and Kristi (Zielinski) Elfstrom. He grew up in Fenton, spending his youth surrounded by friends and family on all the local lakes. If there was water nearby, Luke was in it—doing back flips off the boat, cannonballs, or simply floating on his back, staring at the sky. His girlfriend, Billi Jo, affectionately called him a “merman,” a fitting nickname for someone who felt most at peace in the water.

Luke had an unmatched ability to bring laughter and joy into every room he entered. He adored family gatherings, which were often filled with laughter and wild storytelling. But above all else, he treasured his three sisters, constantly boasting about them to anyone who would listen.

Music was Luke’s love language. Whether he was blasting an energetic rap song, sending a meaningful track to a loved one, or singing along without a care in the world, music was how he connected, expressed himself, and comforted others. Video games also played a special role in his life, offering both an escape and a way to stay connected with friends and cousins—even if it meant passionately arguing through a headset.

Luke’s world was full of love, adventure, and unwavering loyalty. He shared a deep bond with his beloved Billi Jo and her son, Jeremiah, who brought him immense happiness. His cat, Mr. Leroy Jackson, held a special place in his heart, adding to the joy and chaos of his home.

Luke is preceded in death by his grandparents, Richard F. Zielinski, Elizabeth Elfstrom and Robert Weir, and Ronald Elfstrom. He is survived by his parents, Jamie and Kristi Elfstrom; his sisters, Taylor, Jourdan and Lily Elfstrom, along with her boyfriend, Ryan Cummings; his grandmother, Rita Zielinski; his beloved Billi Jo Lynn Croteau and her son, Jeremiah; and a large, loving circle of aunts, uncles, cousins, best friends, and other loved ones.

Luke lived life with a full heart, a wild spirit, and a joker laugh that will echo forever in the memories of those who knew him. His presence was a gift, and he will be missed beyond measure.
