CARVER, Lucille Josephine - Age 90, of Swartz Creek, died Saturday, November 12, 2016. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Friday, November 18, 2016 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd, Swartz Creek, MI. Jeffrey B. Walsh, Pastor officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Thursday from 3-8pm and Friday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. Those desiring to make contributions please do so to St. Paul Lutheran Church. Lucille was born March 6, 1926 in Sebawaing, MI, the daughter of Harold and Agnes (Rieman) Collison. She was a 1944 graduate of Flint Central High School and had attended GMI. She married Richard W. Carver September 16, 1961 in Flint, MI. Lucille retired from Otto P. Graff Motor Sales as the office manager. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and the Elks in Florida. Lucille and Richard enjoyed fifty five happy years together. They had a home in Swartz Creek Michigan and enjoyed for many years their winter escape to their home in Zephyrhills Florida. They were fortunate to have traveled extensively and have great memories of many worldwide adventures. Richard and Lucille could be found most weekends kicking up their heels and dancing to their favorite Dixieland and Big Band music. They even took a cruise where one of their favorite groups, The New Reformation Band from Michigan, was the headline entertainment on the ship. They made many long time friends in Michigan and Florida all who enjoyed traveling and good night out dancing. Surviving are her husband of 55 years Richard; son David (Donna) Carver of Lemont, IL; daughter, Carol Neumann of Grand Blanc, MI; grandchildren, Bryan Carver of Lemont, IL, Kaitlyn Carver of Minneapolis, MN, and Ashlyn Neumann of Allendale, MI; sister-in-law, Georgia Collison of Reed City, MI; niece, Cynthia (Eric) Mis of Jenison, MI; and Timothy (Kim) Collison of Grand Rapids, MI. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother Donald Collison; and sister-in-law, Donna Collison. Online tributes may be posted on the obituaries page at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com
