Loyd "Joe" Robison

ROBISON, Loyd "Joe" - Age 86, of Flint, passed away December 12, 2020. Private graveside service will take place at Sunset Hills Cemetery. Memorial service will take place at a later date. Arrangements provided by Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Grace Presbyterian Church, 1084 N. Irish Rd., Davison.

Joe was born on January 13, 1934, in Flint the son of Lawrence and Mary (Kelley) Robison. He graduated from Flint Northern High School. Joe and Helen Culhane were united in marriage on May 15, 1954 in Flint. He worked for many years as a supervisor for Consumers Energy before his retirement. Joe was a caregiver 24/7 for his wife Helen. He was apart of the Flint Hall of Fame for his football career and a golden gloves boxer in the Flint area. Joe was a member of the Grace Presbyterian Church. He was a resilient, humorous, compassionate man with a good heart. Joe enjoyed spending time with is family, he was a very involved father and grandfather, and enjoyed telling jokes and stories, woodworking, and golfing.

He is survived by his loving wife, Helen Robison; children, Joni Robison-Spencer, Jody (Cindy) Robison and Jill Robison; 5 grandchidlren, Joslyn (Nickolas), Kellie (Brent), Brett (Becky), Jacobb and Brittany; 11 great-grandchildren, Ashton, Liliha, Xaiver, Quinn, Sophia, Shannon, Parker, Morgan, Maxx, Vivian and Miles; and brother, Bill Robison.

Joe was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Rosalie Jarea, and brother, Bob Robison. Tributes may be shared with the family at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
