Lowell Wells

WELLS, Lowell Dean - Age 67, of Grand Blanc, died Saturday, August 12, 2017. Visitation will be held 2:00PM - 4:00PM and 6:00PM - 8:00PM Thursday August 17, 2017 at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Road, Flint. Burial at Great Lakes National Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions to The American Cancer Society. Lowell was born in Gary, IN, the son of the late Gean Armond and Mary Ann (Laviolette) Wells. Mr. Wells married Laura Rae McNally in Flint on October 6, 2007. Lowell proudly served his country in the Army during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the V.F.W. Post #4087, Davison. Mr. Wells retired from Grand Trunk Railroad in 2009 with over 40 years of service. He loved to cut the grass with his John Deere lawn tractor, shooting pool, being in his man cave and spending time with his family and friends. Surviving are: wife, Laura Wells of Grand Blanc; son, David (Tracy Miller) Wells of Flushing; daughter, Heather (Dave) Laffrey of Flint; granddaughters, Katlyn and Madelyn; sisters, Trudy Strong of CO, Janet (Ollie) Wireman of IN; brothers, Laddie (Annette) Wells, Duane (Jenny) Umphryes and Robbie Umphryes all of IN. He was also preceded in death by his brother Terry Umphryes. Lowell is also survived by many relatives and close friends.
