Louise Malderine Younce

Younce, Louise Malderine - Age 88, of Flint, died September 12, 2024 at her home. 

Funeral services will be held 12:30 PM Thursday September 19, 2024 at the Calvary Apostolic Tabernacle, 5255 S. Linden Rd., Swartz Creek. Committal service at 2:30 PM Thursday at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly. Visitation will be 10:30 AM until the time of the funeral at 12:30 PM on Thursday September 19 at the church. Arrangements are being handled by Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center , 6063 Fenton Road, Grand Blanc. Those desiring may make contributions to Calvary Apostolic Tabernacle. 

Louise was born September 18, 1935 in Childress, Arkansas, the daughter of Orval Farmer and Ova (Clary) Farmer. She was a graduate of Childress (Arkansas) High School. She came to Flint in 1956. She married Joseph Younce on April 11, 1958 in Mt. Morris; he preceded her in death March 19, 2022. She had worked for K-mart retiring in 1996. She was a devoted member of the Calvary Apostolic Tabernacle for many many years. She enjoyed her family and her church. 

Surviving are: three children, Joseph Younce Jr. (Joann) of Gaines, Kimberly (Gary) Swisher of Gaines, Joan (Faisal) Khachouf of Flint; grandchildren, Robert Cross Jr., Amanda Cross, Daniel Hatchew, and Gabriella Younce; many great-grandchildren; sister Jan Whitney; brother Jerry Farmer; and her special companion, her dog Molly. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Younce Sr.; her parents, Orval and Ova Farmer; and daughter Marsha Cross.
