BOWDEN, Louise C. "Chris" - Age 85, resident of the Flint area and Arizona, died June 3, 2014 at Hospice House of Shiawassee County. Funeral services will be held 3PM Sunday June 8, 2014 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek, Rev. Susan Bennett Stiles officiating. Visitation will be 12 PM to time of service. Those desiring may make contributions to Parkinson's Foundation. Mrs. Bowden was born June 19, 1928 in Walnut Ridge Arkansas, the daughter of John and Linnie (Phillips) Staten. She married Norman Thomas Bowden who preceded her in death on January 1, 2012. Chris loved to cook and made wonderful meals. Throughout her life she was involved in the United Methodist and Presbyterian churches. Her family was very important to her. She gracefully helped everyone at one time. She enjoyed her children and grandchildren. Chris is survived by children, Janice Hendrix of Gaines, Thomas (Katherine "Missy") Bowden of Tucson AZ; five grandchildren, Nathan, Tara, Emily, Juliana, Gillian; four great-grandchildren, Jason, Adam, Oliver, and Audrey; three sisters; one brother; several nieces and nephews.
