Louis Edgar HULVERSON

HULVERSON, Louis Edgar - Age 93, of Fenton, died Thursday, January 21, 2010. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, January 23, 2010 at Great Lakes Baptist Temple, 2112 E. Maple Ave, Flint, with Rev. T.G. Wille and Rev. David Chittenden officiating. Burial in Crestwood Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Grand Blanc Twp. Friday from 2-9 PM and at church Saturday from 10:00 AM until time of the service. Those desiring may make contributions to Great Lakes Baptist Temple, 2112 E. Maple Ave., Flint. Mr. Hulverson was born November 9, 1916 in Croswell, the son of Harold Melvin and Zelphy (Westbrook) Hulverson. He attended Flint Central High School. He was a veteran of WWII in the U.S. Army, where he served under General George Patton. Mr. Hulverson married Emily Jane Surbrook June 9, 1941 in Flint and she preceded him in death July 21, 2006. He retired in 1978 from Erickson-Linstrom as a carpenter. He loved to fish and hunt. Surviving are: 4 children, Richard and wife Irene Hulverson of Gaines, John and wife Terry Hulverson of Burton, Larry and wife Jan Hulverson of Millington and Barbara and husband Alkitt Gentry of Burton; daughter-in-law, Rebecca Hulverson of Clio; 15 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandson. We want to thank special friends, Brian and Terry Edwards of Linden and Natalie and Jack of McLaren Hospice.
