Lou Macgready

MacGready, Lou Arnette - Age 81, of Swartz Creek, died November 10, 2017. A Gathering and Reception for family and friends will be held 1-6 PM Sunday, November 19 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Those desiring may make contributions to Swartz Creek Community Food Basket. Lou was born on November 15, 1935 to Murray "Jack" Roswell Dowding and Helen Frances (Buck) Dowding. Lou was a graduate of Michigan State University with a Masters Degree. She and John MacGready were married on July 13, 1957 and he preceded her in death on December 11, 2016. Lou was a teacher and assistant principal at Swartz Creek High School for 28 years retiring in June of 1993. Surviving are son, Murray (Jody) MacGready of Walker; daughters, Loanna (Jack) Ammerman of Swartz Creek and Arnette Lamoreaux of Austin, Texas; grandchildren, Kristen (Steve) Guel, Jack Ryan Ammerman, Jay Ammerman, Jacob Lamoreaux, Erynn Lamoreaux, Laura (David) Baird, Matt (Amy) Lipski; several great-grandchildren; two sisters, Murlene McKinnon and Marjorie Young. She was preceded in death by her parents. Thank you to Sara, Linda, Charlie, Richard and Pam for bringing music and friendship.
