Lorrie was born July 25, 1956 in Flint, the daughter of Lawrence and Christine (Spear) Blake. She was a 1974 graduate of Fenton High School. She married Paul Russell Sage April 9, 2000. She had resided in Fenton most of her life. While Lorrie had many accomplishments in life, such as co-founding Special Occasions Linen and Event Company with her sisters, her true legacy lies in the lives she touched and the family she adored. To her six grandchildren she was "The Greatest Umma Ever", she never missed a grandkids sports game, play or event. She saw and loved everyone she met for who they were and had the most special way of making you feel seen. She was a generous, patient, strong and effortlessly classy woman who always went out of her way for others. Lorrie loved the Lord with all her heart and His light shined through her like a beacon in the darkness. Her family looks forward to the day we can hug her again in eternity, but until then, we will cherish her recipes and our countless memories made together during "Umma Days", during family adventures at Boyne Mountain, and while visiting "Umma's Happy Place" in Florida together.
Surviving are: her devoted husband, Paul; her loving children, Melanie Fredericks of Fenton, Meagan (Chris) Cooke of Linden and Mary (Bob) Hitchings of Lake Fenton; and her adored grandchildren, Kaylee Moore, Paige Fredericks, Lily Hitchings, Makenna Cooke, Caitlyn Cooke and Gavin Hitchings; brothers, Darryl Blake, Frank (Robin) Blake and Larry (Rita) Blake; sisters, Lynn "Mary" Blake and Penny (Mike) Waltman; and several nieces, nephews and In-laws (The Sage Family).
Lorrie is joyfully reunited in heaven with her parents, Lawrence and Christine Blake; as well as her sister, Donna Turnbow and nephew, Matthew Turnbow. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
