Lorraine Louise SMITH

SMITH, Lorraine Louise - Age 73, of Linden, died Sunday, October 24, 2010 at Genesys Hospice Care Center. Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Wednesday, October 27, 2010 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton, with Pastor Jack McMaster officiating. Burial in Lakeview Cemetery, Howell. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Monday from 6-9 PM and Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-9 PM. Those desiring may make contributions to American Cancer Society. Mrs. Smith was born June 27, 1937 in Flint, the daughter of Glenn and Rexine (Kingsbury) Judd. She was a 1954 graduate of Beecher High School. She married Richard L. Smith May 8, 1955 in Flint and he preceded her in death July 11, 2002. Mrs. Smith had worked in Adult Foster Care for 25 years as a Caregiver. She had resided in Tennessee and Hartland before moving to Linden in 1999. She was a volunteer for the American Cancer Society. Surviving are: 4 children, Cindy Jabero and husband Morry of Northville, Michael Smith and wife Barbara of Howell, Steven Smith of Linden and Sheila Crandall Windom and husband Thomas of Linden; 13 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren; 4 brothers, Dennis DeMott of Highland, Norman DeMott of Highland, Leon DeMott of Highland and Harold DeMott of Gaines; Several nieces and nephews; She was also preceded in death by her parents; son, Richard L.
