Campbell, Lori Marie (Carnes) - Age 59, of Swartz Creek, passed away peacefully in her home on Thursday, October 20, 2022.
Lori was born May 20, 1963 in Flint, the daughter of Lynn and Georgia (Holzmann) Carnes. She was a 1981 graduate of Fenton High School and went on to earn her Bachelor's Degree in accounting from Baker College. Lori married David J. Campbell on August 16, 1994. She served as a project manager's assistant for Sorensen Gross Construction Company and then J. Ranck Electric.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Swartz Creek and found happiness playing her clarinet in the church orchestra. She also served as the President of the Lake Association for Little Wolf Lake in Lewiston.
Lori was very creative. She enjoyed crafting and scrapbooking with her friends and family. She was fondly known by many as "Lori the Cake Lady" for her delicious and beautiful cakes. Lori especially loved camping and enjoying the natural beauty of Michigan. Her flowers and gardens were her happy place where she found peace and joy.
She enjoyed staying active and was a Crim Training Group leader for many years. Lori was a natural leader with her loving soul, infectious smile, incredible determination, positivity, and enthusiastic energy. "Wonder Woman" with her bright lips and sassy jewels will be greatly missed by all.
Surviving are: her husband of 28 years David Campbell; three children, Whitney Fornari of Durand, Travis Campbell of Swartz Creek, Hannah (Salvador) Espinoza of Flint; grand-son, Salvador Espinoza; parents, Lynn and Georgia Carnes; siblings, Greg (Suzanne) Carnes, Kelli (Doug) Gregory, Bradley (Erin) Carnes; mother-in-law, Christine Campbell; sisters-in-law, Jane Campbell, Jill (Mark) Secord; several nieces and nephews; Samuel, her beloved dog.
Funeral services will be held 11 AM Thursday, October 27 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek, Pastor Dan Bowman officiating. Interment in Bendle Cemetery. Visitation will be held 5-8 PM Tuesday, October 25; 2-8 PM Wednesday, October 26; 10 AM until the time of service on Thursday, October 27.
