Lorena Ann (Pike) Perry

PERRY, Lorena Ann (Pike) - Age 91, of Novi, passed away Wednesday, January 24, 2024.  A memorial gathering will be held from 1-4 PM Saturday, February 3, 2024 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton.  Those desiring may make contributions to the Michigan Humane Society.  

Lorena was born October 31, 1932 in Saint Paul, IN, the daughter of Kay Loren and Ruth Lucille (Hewitt) Pike.  She was a graduate of Saint Paul High School in Saint Paul, IN.  She married Duane Curtis Perry December 21, 1952 in Saint Paul, IN.  She had resided in Novi since 2019 coming from Holly.  She had been employed by Traveler's Insurance Company in Saint Paul, IN.  Lorena was a former member of the Fenton United Methodist Church  and Saint Paul Christian Church in Saint Paul, IN.  She enjoyed reading, sewing, knitting and the biggest love of her life, was her granddaughter, Emily.  

Surviving are: her husband of 71 years, Duane; daughters, Valerie Ann (Jim) Austin of Holly, Laurie Kay (Bob) Palmateer of Rochester Hills and Marie Lynn (Jim) Middledorf of Alexandria, VA; granddaughter, Emily Perry Austin of Holly; step grandsons, Alex (Gina) Palmateer of Madison Heights, Dan (Ashleigh) Palmateer of Madison Heights and Tom Palmateer of Royal Oak; step great grandchildren, Ava, Gavin and Emilia; siblings, Dale (Billylyn) Pike of Saint Paul, IN, Pamela Sue (Arnold) Springmeier of Saint Paul, IN and Hal (Linda) Pike of Bargersville, IN; sisters-in-law, Gladys Pike of Saint Paul, IN and Barbara Pike of Plainfield, IN; and several nieces and nephews.  

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Bill and Jack Pike; sister and brother-in-law, Ada Lou and Melvin Dearinger.  Online tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
