Loren A. McLachlan

Loren A. McLachlan, age 79, of Swartz Creek, passed away on Thursday, January 30, 2025. Visitation will be held 4pm-8pm on Friday, February 7, 2025 at Sharp Funeral Homes - Miller Road Chapel. Visitation will resume the following day at 10am until the time of the Funeral Service at 11am on Saturday, February 8, 2025 at Sharp Funeral Homes - Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road in Swartz Creek. Loren's family will privately lay him to rest at Flint Memorial Park Cemetery on Monday, February 10, 2025. Loren was born on the family farm on August 4, 1945 in Evart, Michigan the youngest of 11 children to the late Dan & Laura McLachlan. He served his country in the United States Army and was deployed in Vietnam 67-69. Loren married the love of his life, Dorothy Alice Farver in Flint, Michigan on June 7, 1969. Loren was employed with General Motors - Truck and Bus of Flint for over 33 years before retiring in 1996. He was a proud member of UAW Local 598.

He is survived by his loving wife, Dorothy; daughter, Jenny (Sean) Dennison; grandchildren, Courtney, Lauren and Megan. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews and other dear relatives and friends. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Wendy Jo; grandson, Brayden Roy; and his siblings, Herman, Donna, Dale, Evelyn, John, Katherine, Donald, Gerald, Marjorie and Velma.

Loren's wife, Dorothy, would like to express her many thanks to their wonderful caretaker, Chris Varco, her sister, Jane Farver, daughter, Jenny (Sean) and granddaughters without your love and support she would have never been able to keep Loren safe and comfortable at home these last years.
