Loren D. HIMES

HIMES, Loren D., age 67 of Harrison, MI died Sunday, March 14, 2010 at the University of Michigan Medical Center in Ann Arbor. He was born in Monroe, MI on January 17, 1943 the son of Ralph and Ruth (McLaughlin) Himes. Loren was employed for several years with the Dana Corp. as a welder. He was a veteran of United States Air Force and had memberships in several veteran's organizations. He enjoyed the out of doors and woodworking. Surviving are his three children; Dona Thun (Mike) in Arizona, Lois Brimm of Harrison and Mary Strait (Dave) of Port Charlotte, FL. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, a sister Denise Overholt (Larry)2 brothers; Terry Himes (Emily), Ed Cluck (Mary) and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Ellette Himes, sister, Sharon Vauter and a brother, Larry Himes. Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Thursday, March 18, 2010 at the Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Flint, MI Mr. Val Bondie will preside. Visitation at the funeral home from 10 A.M. to 1:00 P.M.
