Loren Erickson

ERICKSON, Loren Dean - Age 84, of Grand Blanc, passed away on  March 12, 2021. Visitation will take place Monday, March 22 from 5-8 PM at Sovereign Grace Baptist Church and again Tuesday from 10:00 AM until the service time. Funeral Services will take place 11:00 AM Tuesday, March 23, 2021 at Sovereign Grace Baptist Church, 5069 Fairchild Street, Swartz Creek. Burial will follow in Flint Memorial Park, Mt. Morris. Those desiring to do so may make contributions to Sovereign Grace Baptist Church.

Loren was born on July 10, 1936 in Blackduck, MN the son of Martin and Gladys (Thorpe) Erickson. He married Joanne Elizabeth Smith on December 20, 1957 in Fenton. He retired from AC Delco/General Motors having worked as a forklift driver for many years. He was a founding member of Sovereign Grace Baptist Church where he served as a Sunday School Teacher and a Deacon. He enjoyed fishing and serving others.

He is survived by three children, Steve (Teresa) Erickson, Nancy (Scott) Welliver, and Leonard (Jesse) Erickson; 18 grandchildren, Laura (Carlos), Joseph (Sarah), Anna (Joel), Zachary, Caleb, Tiffany, Crystalyn (Andy), Kaylee (Kevin), Phillip, Stephanie, Daniel (Ashley), Kathryn (David), Kassandra (Elliot) Alisha, Amelia (Klayton), Joanne, Geoffrey and Emma (Nina); 23 great-grandchildren; son-in-law, Paul Wagner; sister, Ruth (Larry) Davidson; several nieces and nephews.

Loren was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Joanne; daughter, Lisa Wagner; granddaughter, Michelle Erickson; great-granddaughter, Sophia Erickson; and siblings, Marvin, Gene, and Arlysse. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com
