Loreen E. Bowsher

May 17, 1931 — November 19, 2003

BOWSHER, Loreen E.  Age 72, of Linden, died Wednesday, November 19, 2003 at Fenton Extended Care Center. Funeral services will be held 2 PM Saturday, November 22, 2003 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Linden Chapel, 209 E. Broad St., Linden. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be held 7-9 PM Thursday, 2-9 PM Friday, and 12 noon until the time of service Saturday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to the Fenton Extended Care Activity Department for tangible items the existing  patients can enjoy to make their stay as pleasant as possible. Loreen was born May 17, 1931 in Detroit and was a graduate of Immaculata High School. She had resided in Linden since 1957. Mrs. Bowsher was a partner in The Linden Restaurant and later owned Linden Realty. She was also employed by Creative Foam for many years. In 1971, she was voted Woman if the Year by the American Business Women. Surviving are: five children, Paul and wife Toni Bowsher of Linden, Gregory and wife Cathy Bowsher, Steve and wife Johanna Bowsher all of California, Lori and husband Jeff Hendricks of Linden, Mark and wife Nancy Bowsher of Linden;  grandchildren, Danielle and husband Cody Allen, Jeremy, Ryan, Christopher, Tara, Allison and Matthew Bowsher, Mariah Hendricks; great grandchildren, Chandler and Dalton Allen; sister, Patricia Ann and husband Robert Taylor; brother, Richard G. and wife Marie Thorne; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Eileen Thorne (Fairfield)  and grandson, Michael Delashmit. A special thank you to the employees of Fenton Extended Care for their loving care. Also, a special thank you to her friend, Cindy Simpson for her friendship, love and support through the years, and all other friends throughout the years. Mum was a friend to all who knew her in Linden; her home was always open to all. She was very generous to everyone she ever met. She was loved and will be missed by all.
