STAEHLI, Lola I. - age 93, of Flint, died Thursday, May 7, 2009 at Genesys Hospice Care Center. Services will be held 1 PM Saturday, May 9, 2009 at Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Grand Blanc Twp. with Rev. Shirley Cormicle officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Hills Cemetery. Visitation will be held 6-8 PM Friday at the funeral home. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to Genesys Hospice. Lola was born March 5, 1916 in Waterloo, IA, the daughter of George and Adia (Bradley) Staehli. After the early death of her birth mother, her father married Ethel Bradley and they moved to Flint to raise their family. She was a graduate of Flint Northern High School and Baker Business College. She retired from Buick after 37 years in payroll. In her younger years, she and her twin sister, Lois were very athletic and musically inclined. Surviving are: nephew, Chris Staehli and wife, Janice of Davison, Niece, Denise Nanney and husband, Steve of Flint Twp.; many great-nieces and great-nephews; friend, Wanda Tyler. She was preceded in death by: her parents; twin sister, Lois and brother, H. Kingston Staehli; sister-in-law, Jeanne Staehli.
